Brian Dudley is a teaching artist and arts administrator specializing in youth development, theatre education, and creating arts integrated curriculum for schools and other non-traditional educational programs. Brian served as a Senior Facilitator for MassSTAR for four years as well as a programming advisor before stepping into the role of Programming Director in 2018. He is super excited to work with this team to create a dynamic, engaging, and challenging conference.
Brian is currently a full-time staff member of the School of Theatre in the College of Fine Arts at Boston University. He serves as the Co-Program Head of the BU Summer Theatre Institute, where he has taught Collaborative Theatre Ensemble, Dramatic Literature, and Theatre for Social Change. Previously, he worked as Program Coordinator for Lyric First Stage where he led classes in storytelling, playwriting, and social media for arts organizations. He also spent many years working as an arts administrator in marketing and front of house/audience services in the city of Boston with various organizations, including the Lyric Stage, Huntington Theatre, and Institure of Contemporary Art.
As a teaching artist, Brian has also taught or faciliated programs at the Early Childhood programs at the JCC North Shore; Jumpstart, Americorps’ early literacy intervention program for preschoolers; and Arlington Children’s Theatre. Brian holds an M.Ed in Arts, Community, and Education with a specialization in Theatre Studies from Lesley University, and a B.F.A in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College.
He owns a muppet in his own image and thinks about outer space a lot.
